Legionella software from Lytom
Legionella work splits into two jobs. Someone competent writes the risk assessment and sets the scheme of control. Someone on site runs that scheme every week and month and keeps the records. Lytom has a product for each side, and they connect when your consultant and your site team both use Lytom.
Which role are you in?

For safety managers and site teams

Assess vs Comply for legionella
Both products can be used on their own. When a water hygiene consultant uses Assess and the site team uses Comply, reports, certificates and actions stay linked without retyping.
| Lytom Assess (consultant) | Lytom Comply (safety manager) | |
|---|---|---|
| Primary job | Write and issue the legionella risk assessment | Run the scheme of control day to day |
| Typical user | Water hygiene or H&S consultant | Facilities manager, safety manager or site team |
| Key outputs | L8-aligned report, certificate PDF, prioritised actions to client | Flushing and temperature logs, monitoring records, action closure |
| Works alone? | Yes | Yes; strongest when the consultant also uses Assess |
When you need both
The consultant visit produces the written assessment and the action list. The hotel, care home or office block still needs weekly flushing and monthly temperatures logged by staff who were not in the room when the assessor visited. Comply is where that evidence is stored. Assess is where the assessor's version of the story is written and handed over.
